How to Export Animated GIFs from After Effects

Introduction

Despite After Effects' robust capabilities, it lacks the ability to directly export animated GIFs. This guide will demonstrate how to utilize Adobe Media Encoder to seamlessly convert After Effects compositions into animated GIFs.

Step 1: Install Adobe Media Encoder

If you haven't already, install Adobe Media Encoder, which comes bundled with After Effects or can be downloaded separately.

Step 2: Import After Effects Composition

Open Adobe Media Encoder and drag and drop your After Effects composition into the application window.

Step 3: Choose Output Format

In the Output Format drop-down menu, select "GIF". You can also customize the GIF's settings in the Settings tab.

Step 4: Export Animated GIF
